Description
13 Shades of Halloween, 2007
These lovely girls are inspired by the great Varga's art (that which graced airplanes), as well as old movie monsters. I wanted to try at some pin-ups, but wanted to go a different direction with it. Also, I wanted to do something themely for my very favorite holiday. Here stands the Shades.
Cirque D'Guillotine: A tribute to The Headless Horseman, of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" fame. (Even though he doesn't show himself here, only his handy-work.) I liked the old Disney version, as well as the newer Tim Burton version. Also, a tip of the hat (ha!) to Marie Antoinette, French Lady of "Let them eat Cake!". I got this strange idea, and I think it came out rather nicely. I would say it reminds me of the kind of thing, in a twisted way, that another artist here I watch (like a fascinated person does a car wreck) does. Yuni! [link] A tip of the Lantern to you! (Take a look at her stuff. It's fantastic...if weird.)
There are lots of brushes I did not make in this Shades set: Look in these places to find them:

Love the idea of a guilotine circus and would like to see more of the performance!
